Iraqi ingenuity stuck in 1942

Perhaps they've seen Saving Private Ryan one too many times, but the Iraqi 'insurgents' (whatever group-of-the-week that is) are starting to use a hi-tech update to the sticky-bomb to assassinate Iraqi government officials:

Iraqi insurgents are increasingly using magnetically attached bombs known as 'sticky IEDs' to assassinate mid- and low-level Iraqi officials, Iraqi and U.S. officials said.

edit: Yes, yes, Saving Private Ryan was 1944... we know already. The sticky-bomb article, tho, was about 1942 in the North African Desert.
