Cause lotsa fragmentation, cause lotsa rounds on target, cause plunging fire, cause you can set them up almost anywhere, cause anyone can be trained to use 'em, cause fire comes organic and quickly, cause I don't trust Sheldrake!
Mortars! All the reasons listed above pretty much nail it. Now there is nothing wrong with some 155 bringing the rain down on some bad guys heads, but when you need fire right over 'there' and I mean right now, nothing beats mortars.
