Tools of War: M32 Multi-Shot Grenade Launcher

Finally, a six-shooter I can get behind!

The M203 40mm grenade launcher has always been a great asset for an infantry squad, but you are limited to one shot/reload/reacquire the target/fire again. Non-intuitive iron sights and a non-standard trigger location didn't help for quick reactions in oh-crap situations either. But when you got it going, a good 203-gunner could put some serious hurt on the enemy.

Now, here's this puppy, the M32 MSGL. Standard ergonomics. Modern sighting system (successful head-shots have been reported at 150 meters - "BOOM, headshot!"). Six shots in three seconds. The ability to attach more goodies to the weapon (tac lights 'n' stuff). All while retaining the ability to use the various 40mm rounds already developed, in use, and readily available in the supply chain.

The USMC has been testing these out in the real world in an experimental capacity since 2006, and they know a good thing when they see it. They like 'em, the love 'em, they want more of 'em. So they are rolling these out to the troops as a standard item this year. They have ordered up to 5,000 of them under the current contract.

Here is an annoying, bald ex-SEAL whispering about how much he likes it.
