Anniversaries

This is always a tricky day to try to celebrate...

In 1775 the American War for Independence begins with the battles of Lexington and Concord.

The Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba collapsed on this day in 1961.

For the Napoleonic fans out there, there's the Battle of Raszyn and the Battle of Teugen-Hausen, but on the same day in 1809.

It's also the start of 1943 the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising.

That alone would be worth discussing, but then in the US, there are also a few other dubious anniversaries.

The culmination of the Branch Davidian siege outside Waco, Texas, USA, ended in 1993 when 81 people die after tear gas catches fire and ignites an inferno... on national TV.

In 1995 the Oklahoma City bombing of the Murrah Federal Building by Timothy McVeigh.

So what say y'all... most distinctive anniversary on this day?
