There's been a suspected bomb found in teh cargo hold of a Germany-bound plane. As a result, Germany has raised their security alert level.

The first Gitmo terror suspect tried in civilian court has been found guilty of only one charge. Without knowing more details about how the trial panned out (did they have evidence that they couldn't use? was there a problem with the defense?) it's tough to form an opinion, but it's likely the spin on this
will make it even harder for President Obama to close Gitmo.

The Air Force is warning troops to be careful about geolocation tools for social networking.

The President is still pushing to get the START treaty ratified.

The missing F22 in Alaska was a crash, and the search for the pilot continues.

Julian ASSange is in trouble in Sweden again, after they've re-opened the rape case against him.

The South Koreans are saying that their "Sunshine Policy" has failed to change North Korea and are looking to evolve away from it.

I cannot fathom any logic to reducing U.S. nuclear capabilities.

There is nothing in the START treaty for us and there is no reason for our politicians to be pursuing it.

Have you counted the numbers of warheads out there? You think we need 5500 nuclear weapons for deterrence? You think we want the Russians to have their 4200 floating around loose with their levels of overly-accurate accountability?

How are we legitimately reducing our nuclear capabilities by cutting out 3000 warheads (and their attendant personnel and maintenance costs)? What, we can't nuke the planet for the 11th time in a row?
