Gen. Ann Dunwoody, the commander of U.S. Army Materiel Command, met with her female Afghan counterparts during a women’s roundtable event hosted at the U.S. Embassy here Sept. 29.
The event was one of several the general attended during her visit to Afghanistan to engage senior leaders and to share capabilities of the Materiel Enterprise.
Several female representatives from Coalition forces attended the event, as well as approximately 15 Afghan women, including the Ministry of the Interior’s Afghan National Police Chief of Gender Department, the female contingent for the Afghan Border Police and the head of women’s police training for the Kabul Police Academy.
