When the US announced the formation of the "RDF" in the early 80s, it became a hot game topic. S&T was one of the first ones to the punch with the obtusely-titled Rapid Deployment Force (RDF).
It included one of the ugliest maps in history, too. Oy!

I remember playing (quite poorly I might add) RDF from SSI on the Commodore growing up.
"Too little, too late? Not enough to win and too much to lose?"
I can't say that slogan inspired me to want to play the game then or now.
I always had a soft spot for this one. The counters in my copy had the front side on the back side of the counter sheet, from being fed into the die-cutter upside down - were they all like this?
That is an UUUUUUGLY map!
